dc.description.abstract This article presents a systematic literature review of digital health interventions in South Africa, examining how emerging technologies are transforming healthcare delivery. Digital health encompasses a range of innovations, including telemedicine, wearable technologies, and augmented and virtual reality, each contributing to more personalized and efficient healthcare solutions. The review highlights the role of telemedicine in remote consultations, electronic health records, and patient outcome tracking, particularly accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearable technologies and digital data collection are shown to empower patients with real-time health information, while virtual and augmented reality offer tailored treatment regimens. The findings emphasize the growing importance of digital health in improving access, safety, and personalization in healthcare, with implications for both practitioners and patients in South Africa. en_US
