Language is how we share complex thoughts, feelings and ideas with one another it encompasses everything from learning your very first words to using a fully developed dialect. A specific language like English or Spanish, is just one example of this massive system in action. Scientists who study how language works are called linguists. People have been fascinated by language for thousands of years, even ancient Greek thinkers like Plato argued over deep questions like whether words can ever truly capture what we experience in real life. |
