Title: The use of honey to increase general well-being and flourishing
Author: Piglet, Pink; Bear, Winnie
Abstract: This article looks at how honey can enhance general well-being and human flourishing by focusing on the biological production process done by bees.It begins with nectar collection and enzymatic transformation by bees and then explains how this can be used as both a metabolic fuel and a long-term food supply. The article also highlights the domestication of bees and their colonies by making notes of the queens, male drones, and workers. By detailing the nutritional composition and production mechanisms of honey, the article connects its natural properties to broader concepts of health, vitality, and flourishing. Findings suggest that honey is not only a vital resource for bees but also a substance valued by humans.
