The use of honey to increase general well-being and flourishing |
Abstract:
|
Honey is a sweet, viscous substance produced by bees through nectar collection, enzymatic activity, and evaporation, stored in honeycombs for food supply. It plays a role in bee survival, particularly in cold weather and food scarcity. Human practices of beekeeping and apiculture allow for honey harvesting from domesticated hives. Honey production involves queen bees, drones, and thousands of worker bees that forage nectar, process it with enzymes, and convert it into honey through regurgitation and evaporation. This article explores honey’s biological production and its contributions to human well-being and flourishing. |
