dc.description.abstract Digital health uses information and communication technologies to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery and to make medicine more personalised and precise. This paper reviews the field's main technology domains — telemedicine, wearable technologies, and augmented and virtual reality — with particular focus on telemedicine, which encompasses digitised medical records, remote consultations, appointment booking, and online health records. It considers how the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated adoption of remote care, and how the resulting availability of patient data supports more personalised, data-driven treatment planning. en_US
