Balancing research and education in the science

Abstract

Research is simply a structured way of exploring new ideas and uncovering fresh insights about the world, people and society. At its heart it is about asking big questions and figuring out how to turn those answers into practical solutions. People do research to double check old facts, solve tricky problems or build brand new theories. It often builds on work that came before taking an existing idea and pushing it a step further. In a classroom, a research assignment does more than just teach students about a specific topic, it gives them critical thinking and investigation skills they will need for future jobs and real-world projects
